The Archived Obsession

Hello!! I come to you in a super excited, hyped-up-on-awesome-books mood as I have just finished The Unbound by Victoria Schwab. I am literally OBSESSED with these books. I read The Archived over the summer and got The Unbound for Christmas this year and have literally just finished it like an hour ago. I went looking for any information about a third book, which sadly looks like is not going to happen, but ended up finding a short story Victoria had written a couple years ago instead. It was SO GOOD. It for sure helped me feel a bit more closure with the story as I wanted to see how Mackenzie and Wesley ended up. Not to mention, we finally learn Wesley's real name!!! In case you have read this series and haven't found this short story, I'm going to link it  here  for your enjoyment. I just need more Wesley and for the entire world to read these books please. That's not too much to ask, right?  Sorry this post is kind of crazy, but I am just so pumped about these b...

Hello readers and Happy New Year! I can't believe 2017 is already here! It seems so weird to be in 2017 for me because 2016 is the year I graduated high school, and I never really thought past life in 2016. That might seem odd, but all though school it seemed as though 2016 was the infamous year that would never actually get here, but now it has come and gone so fast. 2016 was the year that I graduated high school and completed my first semester of college, it was such a stressful but awesome year of life for me. I can only hope that 2017 will be as awesome. To start off this year I have a few books I hope to read. I don't know if I'll actually read all these because 1) I'll be back at college, so I don't know how much reading time I'll have, and 2) I'm a really moody reader so who knows if I'll feel like reading some of these books when I get there. But I'm going to try and make a TBR as a kind of goal for myself to get these books read in a timel...

Bookmas Day Four: Top Four Underrated Books of 2016

Day four of Bookmas has arrived! I had to skip out on yesterday, Top Three Most Anticipated Adaptations of 2017, because I have no idea of any adaptations coming out next year. But I am back today with 4 underrated books! These books were not published in 2016, but they were all books that I read in 2016 and really enjoyed. 1. Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson This book is a true story written by Bryan Stevenson about cases that he has tried and clients that he has fought for in this own career. The book illustrates Stevenson's experiences in fighting for rights for men wrongly convicted and put on death row for nothing more than their skin color or their mental capacity. It also highlights cases of children who were convicted for petty crimes but convicted for life with no hope of parole. Finally, it highlights mothers that are put in prison and taken from their children, and the problems of the prison systems in America. This is such a powerful book that I think is very important...
