Bookmas Day 6: Six Books You Wish You Read in 2016

Hello readers! It is Bookmas Day 6, so I am here with another blog challenge! Today's topic is six books you wish you read in 2016 which is super easy for me because I didn't read a lot this year, so there are a TON of books I wish I read. So here is a list of six that I am really sad I didn't read this year: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo  I'll Give you the Sun by Jandy Nelson Cinder/ The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E, Schwab This Savage Song by V. E. Schwab The Diabolic by S. J Kincaid  This list is in no particular order, however I'm probably most upset about the V. E. Schwab books because I read The Archived by Victoria Schwab earlier this year and loved it, so I really wanted to get to more of her books this year. I am afraid the only book that has a chance this year is I'll Give You the Sum by Jandy Nelson as it is the only book on this list that I own and it is on my Bookmas TBR. Are any of these books book...

Bookmas Day Four: Top Four Underrated Books of 2016

Day four of Bookmas has arrived! I had to skip out on yesterday, Top Three Most Anticipated Adaptations of 2017, because I have no idea of any adaptations coming out next year. But I am back today with 4 underrated books! These books were not published in 2016, but they were all books that I read in 2016 and really enjoyed. 1. Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson This book is a true story written by Bryan Stevenson about cases that he has tried and clients that he has fought for in this own career. The book illustrates Stevenson's experiences in fighting for rights for men wrongly convicted and put on death row for nothing more than their skin color or their mental capacity. It also highlights cases of children who were convicted for petty crimes but convicted for life with no hope of parole. Finally, it highlights mothers that are put in prison and taken from their children, and the problems of the prison systems in America. This is such a powerful book that I think is very important...

Bookmas TBR

Hello readers! This year as I begin my blogging journey, I thought a fun way to populate the beginnings of the blog would be through participating in  Hailey in Bookland 's 12 Days of Christmas event, #Bookmas! This is a readathon that begins tomorrow, December 13, and there are also video/blog post topics to go along with each day. I am going to try to participate in as many days as I can, beginning with my TBR for this readathon! My TBR for this Bookmas is: ~ One Plus One by Jojo Moyes. I am already 150 pages into this book, so I will be finishing it at the beginning of the readathon.          One Plus One is an adult fiction novel about a single mother struggling to get by with her two children. Her daughter, Tanzie, is a math-whiz and needs to be taken to a Maths Olympiad in order to win enough money to go to the private school that will give her a better education. One problem: Her mother has no money and no way to get her there until a tech ...
